Free Literacy Classes for Underprivileged Children

As a part of the Silver Jubilee Year celebration of Darshan Education Foundation all the branches of Darshan Academy launched the literacy campaign for underprivileged children on the birthday of H.H.Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj. Underprivileged children and their parents were elated to be in Darshan Academy, Pune.

The children from the nearby areas who came along with their parents seemed to be excited and were the main attraction of the event. The students were overjoyed to get stationery items, study material, sweets, chocolates, and cake. The goodies given to the children were donated by Darshanites themselves. After the formal inauguration, the students went to their classes where the teacher gave them the introductory session in Marathi to create interest in them as they were comfortable in that language. Since then free literacy classes are conducted in Darshan Academy, Pune for underprivileged children from 3.00 pm

Roti Bank

Darshan Academy, Pune organizes Roti Bank Activity twice a month with a motive to help the needy and underprivileged section of society. In order to contribute to the society, Darshan Academy, Pune has adopted a slum area near Madhukar Pawale flyover Nigdi, and a slum area in Thermax Chowk, Nigdi. Darshanites bring dry vegetables and fresh rotis, wrapped in aluminum foil , to be distributed to the underprivileged people. The joy on the faces after receiving rotis is priceless, simultaneously students are also sensitized and they understand value of food in their lives.

Fee Concession

Every year Darshan Academy provides fee concessions to students who need financial help. Exemption in fee granted to students is reviewed from year to year after ascertaining eligibility for exemption and the student’s performance.

Community Service

The purpose of spiritual education is to help humanity. Through projects in community service, helping people in need, and improving the ecological environment, students develop the concept of using their knowledge to make positive contributions to society.
