India celebrated ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on August 15, 2022, which marks the country’s 75th Independence Day. This day holds a special place in the heart of every Indian. Darshan Academy, Pune, celebrated the Vande Mataram Fest – Independence Day Celebration with a high spirit of patriotism and dedication. The Tricolour was unfurled by the chief guest, Mrs. Sangeeta Tarde, a renowned educationist and social activist, and the principal, Mrs. Sadhna Pandey, on the school campus, followed by the national anthem and an address to the parents and students. The cultural programme consisted of a celebration with the students with speeches, solo songs and a special dance performance by the students. Various activities were organized for the students, such as rangoli making, a flag relay race, a t-shirt and dupatta painting. The winners were given prizes by the principal and the senior co-ordinator, Mrs. Kirti Nanoti. The students, teachers and staff members contributed enthusiastically to the celebration.
