Darshan Academy, Pune students visited the NDA at Khadakwasla as part of its efforts to raise awareness and motivate the school’s young children. The school party, comprising 89 children from classes 7 to 10, was accompanied by Ex Hav R. G. Shinde, the PT instructor of our school, along with the school teachers and the heads of school, Mrs. Renuka Kaushik and Ms. Vinita Seth. They had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the training facilities of the Indian Armed Forces firsthand. The 16-year-olds who join this elite institution, amongst the best In the world, pass out as officer cadets to join the Army, Airforce and the Navy. This elite institution has been host to train cadets of 40 friendly armies worldwide. The training in NDA comprises an optimal mix of physical, academic and mental toughening to those who join this prestigious academy. Labeled as a cradle for leadership, the academy now has young girls from all walks of life entering to take up positions as officers in the Indian Armed Forces.
