Graduation Day and Arcadia Performance

Graduation marks the beginning of a new chapter in a student’s life, and the event held at Darshan Academy, Pune, April 11, 2023, on the school lawn, was a celebration of the bright future that awaits these young students. Major General Amar Krishna was the chief guest and the guests of honor were, Shri Vijay Aggarwal, Mr. Gurbax Kundnani and Mr. Deepak Kundnani. The school choir welcomed all with their rendition of a musical number followed by a formal welcome by the students of UKG. The ceremony continued with the lighting of the Lamp by Mrs. Juhi Krishna, Mrs. Nisha Kundnani, Maj General Amar Krishna and the senior citizens of Empire Estate, Archana Nalwade, Mrs. Simi and Mrs. Barkha, along with the principal Mrs. Renuka Kaushik. The students of LKG, UKG, and grade one put on an excellent performance with energetic and lively dances of the musical which had the parents clapping and swaying along. Arcadia, the musical, is a precursor to Earth Day celebrations;  educating how to keep alive the delicate fabric of the ecosystem with the tiniest and the mightiest creatures working together hand in hand. It showcased how man’s greed is depleting the resources of the earth. The principal, Mrs. Renuka Kaushik, gave the school report and addressed the 300-strong parent body. Thence began the most important part of the day when the UKG students walked smartly up the stage. Their smiling faces received thunderous applause from the audience as they received their merit scrolls on the dais. The chief guest, Maj General Amar Krishna, was eloquent in his praises for the performance and the beautiful ambiance created by the budding artists of Darshan Academy, Pune. For the pre-primary children, kindergarten graduation was an exciting milestone that marked their first step towards a future full of hope and possibilities.
